Thank you for visiting the Gold River Interchange Committee's website. (The Gold River Community Association's website is available by clicking here.) We are concerned about the City of Rancho Cordova's proposed Alta Sunrise Expressway to US 50, and the gridlock that the additional traffic coming from the proposed Sunrise-Douglas development will create on US 50. (On US 50, this would occur near the Home Furnishing store that used to be the "Fun Center". For those familiar with Gold River, the interchange would be near the corner of Tenderfoot Dr. and Prospect Hill Rd.)

The City of Rancho Cordova is going to hold an Open House to discuss the interchange on Thursday, June 7th! The GRCA Interchange Committee encourages people to attend. The meeting begins at 5:30 PM and will be at the CSUS Aquatic Center (1901 Hazel Ave.). From Gold River, take Gold Country Blvd. east. Cross Hazel (straight) to enter the CSUS facility. From US-50, take the Hazel Ave. offramp and turn north (from eastbound 50, turn left; westbound 50, turn right). Turn right at the Gold Country Blvd. light.

Are you a stakeholder (a person, group, or company with an interest in this project)? Stakeholders, such as commuters who drive this stretch of US 50 regularly, can be kept informed by joining our informational mailing list by e-mailing majordomo@50commuters.com with the first line of text being "subscribe 50commuters" and you'll be signed up!

A list of some local newspapers' articles on the subject is available here.
